Lynnie Alexander- your host!
Your host is a retired journalist and writer and author. She has been living in Akaroa at Tree Crop Farm for 40 plus years. Lynnie has been running the 60 acre bush covered hill property overlooking Akaroa and the harbour. This property has the Woodills Track running through it. This track is open to the public. Lynnie also ran a famous cafe for many years with trampers coming in off the walk tracks around the hills horse trekking to the outer bays to experience her coffee and company. It also earned a five star accreditation for bed and breakfast guests.
Open only in the summer months Lynnie has decided to try for a niche market with a Ladies Only Backpackers . It can sleep six in four colonial antique filled huts; a tree house and a caravan all lining the river. It is safe, sunny and private and easy to get to the village, beach or a bus. It will suit adventurous women who will love to sleep close to the river. It has a wild garden which is full of tracks and is within walking distance to Akaroa. It is close to nature and the ladies need to have more of a tramping mentality than expectations of a hotel.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in all the huts with or without electricity, and a full camp kitchen is available for all guests, with dining areas in day light hours at the main house complex where the bathrooms are located.
There is a TV room with a big screen for rainy days and a film library of period dramas and films that ladies usually like.
