There is a herb and greens garden beside the camp kitchen.
A wet day movie is available on the big screen in the house complex.
There is storage for bikes and packs which is safe and out of the rain, and could well suit a guest wanting to leave personal possessions when setting out on the Banks Track. Guests arriving by shuttle bus can walk from the village or book a pick up. There is internet in the camp kitchen but can be patchy elsewhere.
There is an 800 litre hot tub heated by gas down by river which is filled with fresh water. It has no chemicals. THIS HOT TUB IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO BACKPACKER CLIENTS .
It costs $60 and only available up until dark . The water is changed after each booking so reservations are essential.
